Exploring Career Options

For Working Adults

The TIME Center and its partner colleges offer credit and non-credit training courses designed to improve the skills of the current and future technical workforce.

For High School Students

High school is the time to begin exploring options, and guidance counselors can direct interested students to suitable courses and programs. Many schools now offer such engineering courses as Project Lead the Way or Engineering by Design.

Competitive Events

Many schools also participate in FIRST Tech or FIRST Robotics, SkillsUSA, and other competitive events.

Summer Camps & Internships

Summer camps offered by schools, colleges, and organizations provide additional opportunities to explore the work of engineers and manufacturing technicians. Engineering mentors and internship programs provide practical, hands-on experiences.
